While our Customer Support engineers handle the "break-fix," GCE (Customer Engineering and Professional Services) owns the customer journey. Our mission is to empower customers globally through proactive guidance and expert services to accelerate their time to value and business outcomes. We are responsible for driving product adoption, architecting complex deployments, and ensuring our customers obtain maximum value from the Cloudflare platform. </p> <p><strong>About the Role<br></strong>The AI Innovation Intern will support the Professional Services team by assisting with foundational developer platform tasks and contributing to projects that enables the commercial practice to develop strategies and solutions for deeper market penetration. This role provides hands-on exposure to Cloudflare’s developer ecosystem while working alongside the Global Professional Services Commercial leadership to deliver customer outcomes and strategies.Through this role, you will gain hands-on experience working with Cloudflare’s developer platform, exposure to how Professional Services and Customer Success teams deliver sales and commercial outcomes for global customers, mentorship from commercial leadership , and real-world experience contributing to projects that support customer adoption of Cloudflare technologies.</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Build & Prototype:</strong> Design, develop, and deploy AI-driven prototypes (using LLMs, RAG architectures, or predictive modeling) to automate manual workflows within the GCS ecosystem. Build out models to help automate future forecasting and resource planning.</li> <li><strong>Tooling Integration:</strong> Work with APIs to integrate AI capabilities into our existing tech stack to provide real-time solutions.</li> <li><strong>Data Wrangling:</strong> Partner with our Rev Ops/Sales Ops to identify, clean, and structure high-volume post-sales data for model training and fine-tuning.</li> <li><strong>Prompt Engineering & Optimization:</strong> Refine and optimize system prompts and model parameters to ensure high-quality, hallucination-free outputs for internal advisory tools.</li> <li><strong>Collaboration:</strong> Act as the technical translator, taking high-level optimization ideas from GCS Commercial leadership and turning them into technical requirements and minimum viable products (MVPs).</li> <li>Contribute to internal knowledge bases and documentation to improve team efficiency and consistency. Create collateral to enable the team.</li> <li><strong>Customer engagement:</strong> Working alongside commercial leadership to present solutions to internal stakeholders to deliver external solutions for customer outcomes.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Desirable skills & Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li>Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), Business Analytics, or a related technical field.</li> <li>Available for a full-time, 12-week internship, working from our London office 3-5 days a week during the fall (Sept-Dec).</li> <li>Be commercially minded and understand basic principles of a Vendor Sales business.</li> <li>Basic experience with programming or scripting (e.g., JavaScript, Python, or similar)</li> <li>Experience building AI Agents and/or other applications leveraging AI.</li> <li>Experience connecting disparate systems via REST APIs</li> <li>Familiarity with web development concepts, APIs, RAG, Git or developer platforms</li> <li>Strong problem-solving and analytical skills</li> <li>Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced technical environment</li> <li>Strong communication and collaboration skills to explain complex technical AI concepts to non-technical stakeholders</li> <li style="font-style: italic;"><em>Bonus points: Experience in a customer facing role</em></li> <li style="font-style: italic;"><em>Bonus points: Experience deploying applications leveraging Cloudflare Workers AI.</em></li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion"><p><strong>What Makes Cloudflare Special?</strong></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">We’re not just a highly ambitious, large-scale technology company.
