Hardware Developer - STUDENT CONVERSION

The Power Systems Procurement Manufacturing Engineer (PME) provides support to the supplier manufacturing line to assure production processes for all Power Systems products are met according to IBM standards.  The PME role interfaces with Development and supplier Engineering/Manufacturing to support the introduction of New Products and ensure EC (Engineering Change) implementation at supplier manufacturing line for New Products and current production products.  In this role you are also responsible for quality management, monitoring supplier quality performance, and driving corrective actions. The Power Systems Procurement Manufacturing Engineer (PME) is responsible for the development of New Products for Power Systems and qualifying all products and processes at the contract manufacturing supplier to support General Availability (GA) and production requirements. Primary responsibilities of the Procurement Manufacturing Engineer (PME) includes: - Development of New Products and ensure all products and processes are supported in manufacturing to meet General Availaiblity (GA) schedule - Monitor supplier Quality performance and drive actions in response to field performance quality issues, and open Pre-Stop/Stop-Ships - Ensure Engineering Changes (EC's) are released correctly and implemented at the supplier in a timely manner - Manage product/process Offspec evaluation/approval and ensure proper implementation at the supplier - Provide production support for supplier Manufacturing and Engineering teams   - Ensure production and non-production orders are released correctly in IBM systems  - Provide process oversight to ensure technical requirements are met by the supplier - Manage Bill of Material (BOM) structures for each product - Validate configurator and placement assignments on New Products and production orders (NewC/MFC) Fluency in English – Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. Educational Background – Pursuing Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or Industrial Engineering. Technical Skills – Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). - Previous internship or Co-op experience - Understanding of Supply Chain processes including Manufacturing, supplier qualification, and supplier performance monitoring - Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Mexico Infrastructure & Technology Hybrid Entry Level GUADALAJARA, MX (0390) IBM de Mexico Comercializacion y Servicios
