As a Front-End Developer: Generalist, you will work in an agile, collaborative environment across software architecture, understanding both front-end and back-end concerns, while specializing in the front-end. You will collaborate closely with designers and back-end developers to deliver high-quality user interfaces. Your primary responsibilities will include: • Implement UI Code: Code user interfaces, including authentication, interactions, responsive layouts, and styling, ensuring implemented UI code is unit tested and production-code ready. • Collaborate with Designers: Work closely with designers to take wireframes from conception to implementation, applying the IBM Design System to implement UIs. • Enhance Application Performance: Ensure user interfaces are accessible and enhance the performance of the application, using programming languages like JavaScript, Node.js, or frameworks such as React, Vue, or Angular. • Develop Responsive Layouts: Use UI development technologies such as HTML, CSS, JSON, and API usage to create responsive layouts and interactions. • Contribute to Design System: Contribute to the IBM Design System to implement UIs, ensuring consistency and best practices in front-end development. • Exposure to Front-End Development: Experience working with front-end development technologies such as HTML, CSS, JSON, and API usage to create responsive layouts and interactions. • Understanding of UI Code Implementation: Familiarity with coding user interfaces, including authentication, interactions, responsive layouts, and styling, ensuring implemented UI code is unit tested and production-code ready. • Collaboration with Designers and Developers: Exposure to working closely with designers to take wireframes from conception to implementation, and collaborating with back-end developers to ensure seamless integration. • Knowledge of Programming Languages: Experience working with programming languages like JavaScript, Node.js, or frameworks such as React, Vue, or Angular. • Familiarity with Design Systems: Understanding of design systems, such as the IBM Design System, to implement UIs and ensure consistency and best practices in front-end development. • Proficiency in Frameworks: Exposure to working with frameworks such as React, Vue, or Angular to develop responsive and interactive user interfaces. • Knowledge of API Usage: Familiarity with API usage to create seamless interactions and data exchange between front-end and back-end systems. • Understanding of Design Systems: Experience working with design systems, such as the IBM Design System, to implement consistent and well-designed UIs.
