Intel Fab 28 is looking for a highly motivated Statistics Student to join the Yield organization.As part of this role, you will apply statistical methods and data analytics to support manufacturing excellence facilities. You will be responsible for extracting, analyzing, and interpreting large volumes of manufacturing and process data to identify trends, detect anomalies, and drive data-based decisions.The position includes close collaboration with Yield engineers to support process improvement initiatives, yield enhancement projects, and Statistical Process Control (SPC) methodologies. You will provide statistical consultation, develop analytical tools and contribute to solving complex manufacturing challenges.
Key Responsibilities• Perform data extraction, cleansing, and analysis from manufacturing databases and engineering systems.• Support process monitoring and Statistical Process Control (SPC) activities.• Conduct statistical investigations and root cause analyses for process and manufacturing issues.• Develop reports and visualizations to communicate analytical findings.• Partner with engineering teams on process optimization and yield improvement projects.• Automate data analysis workflows and improve reporting efficiency.
Qualifications:
• Statistics/Data Science or related filed student.
• at least 2 years remaining until graduation.
• Availability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week (approximately 2.5 working days).• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.• Fluent in English (written and verbal).• Experience with statistical software such as JMP, SAS, R, Python, or similar analytical tools is an advantage.• Familiarity with data visualization and dashboarding tools is an advantage.• Knowledge of SPC, DOE, regression analysis, or other statistical methodologies is an advantage.
