Responsibilities- Partner with cross-functional teams to understand developer needs and build features that enhance engineering productivity and the overall developer experience.
- Contribute to the design, development, and evolution of engineering platforms, tools, and services that support software development and release processes at scale.
- Write clean, maintainable, and high-quality code while applying software engineering best practices for reliability, performance, security, and scalability.
- Collaborate with teammates to break down complex technical challenges, estimate work, and deliver solutions that create measurable impact.
- Support the operational health of services through monitoring, troubleshooting, incident response, and continuous improvement of system reliability.
- Embrace a growth mindset by continuously learning new technologies, including AI-powered development tools and modern engineering practices, and applying those learnings to improve products, services, and team effectiveness.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline with proven experience coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.
- Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, including: Data structures, Algorithms, Object-oriented design, Software development principles.
- Growth mindset with a passion for continuous learning, feedback, and personal development.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, prioritize effectively, and demonstrate ownership in delivering results.
- Strong problem-solving skills and curiosity to learn new technologies and engineering practices.
- You must be legally authorized to work in Romania to be eligible for this role. (Legally authorized = has citizenship or has been granted a valid visa or work permit).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
- Experience with C++, C#, Java, Python, or similar modern programming languages.
- Exposure to developer productivity tools, engineering systems, DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, or release engineering processes.
- Exposure to Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Generative AI, LLM-powered applications, or developer productivity scenarios enhanced by AI.
- Participation in open-source projects, hackathons, internships, or research initiatives.
- Familiarity with software build systems, source control systems, automated testing frameworks, or modern software development workflows
Other Requirements:
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter

Software Engineering IC2 - The typical base pay range for this role across Romania is lei 154,000.00 - lei 265,300.00 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
