You'll join Roblox's Safety organization, whose mission is to become the leader in civil immersive online communities by detecting, removing, and preventing problematic accounts, content, and behavior, and by keeping accounts secure and free from compromise. The team draws on a broad tech spectrum, including machine learning, classifiers, experimentation, automation, and AI-powered filters, partnering with product teams to shape the roadmap, build safety products, and measure impact on our community of users and developers.</p> <p><strong>You Will:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Own the design, implementation and landing of features that make Roblox more secure and more accessible for users of all ages on all platforms.</li> <li>Collaborate cross-organizationally with partner teams in Growth, Discovery and the broader Roblox Safety org.</li> <li>Help define how goals get accomplished and have real influence over product direction.</li> <li>Influence how users first experience Roblox, often forming their baseline expectations for what security should look like on the internet.</li> <li>Instrument and analyze user interaction data (A/B tests, usage metrics) to inform design decisions and maximize product impact.</li> <li>Own implementation end to end across the stack, contributing in Rust, C++, and Lua as projects require, using AI tools wherever possible.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>You Have</strong>:</p> <ul> <li>1-3 years of experience in Software Engineering/Computer Science</li> <li>Experience working on user facing applications or services</li> <li>Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Rust, C#, and Javascript.</li> <li>Experience collaborating cross-functionally with Product stakeholders to define requirements and deliver technical solutions.</li> <li>A strong commitment to designing, implementing, and maintaining systems that prioritize user safety, data integrity, and compliance with safety policies.</li> </ul><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="description"><p>For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
