About this role
Position Summary
We are looking for a motivated working student to support our team in maintaining and improving our Linux-based build server infrastructure, remote lab connections, and test environments. This role is ideal for someone studying computer science, IT, electrical engineering, or a related field who wants hands-on experience with Linux system administration, networking, and lab/test infrastructure.At Samsung, you’ll work alongside experts who are shaping the future of technology. - Maintain and optimize Linux-based build servers, ensuring they run smoothly for development teams.
- Set up and troubleshoot remote lab connections and test benches, including hardware power cycling.
- Monitor and secure systems, from backups to user access, keeping our infrastructure safe and efficient.
- Collaborate with teams to sync code repositories and streamline development workflows.
- Solve technical challenges by scripting solutions in Bash or Python to automate tasks.
Skills and Qualifications
- You’re enrolled in a degree in Computer Science, IT, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- You have basic to intermediate Linux skills (command line, package management, shell scripting).
- You’re familiar with SSH, VPNs, Git, and remote desktop tools.
- You enjoy problem-solving and aren’t afraid to ask questions or dive into new technologies.
- You’re detail-oriented, proactive, and excited about embedded systems or hardware testing.
