What you'll do
In this position you support business and IT with the alignment on business topics concerning Material Master data related topics and drive / orchestrate adoption for configurable materials within SAP and the E2E process journey.
The working environment is cross multiple teams - IT, Architecture, Process Owner & Data Object Owner – you will translate business requirements into meaningful solutions, improve data models and business rules. You will act as an enabler for IT delivery teams, deep diving into data management, internal data processes and systems, as well as helping our team building trust in data with stakeholders. You will also support the execution of strategic programs.
We welcome your curiosity and interest in building up strong subject matter expertise knowledge around Material Master and Configurable Materials.
Responsibilities also include the following:
- Act as the primary intake point for issues raised by stakeholders across the ecosystem; perform structured root cause analysis with a strong focus on business processes and data, and drive solution design and implementation in close collaboration with Business and IT teams.
- Define, design, and model product configurations using SAP Advanced Variant Configuration (AVC) within the S/4HANA environment, directly supporting SAP's Cloud transformation initiatives.
- Support and execute Data Governance activities in alignment with IDM standards, with a focus on License and Services master data.
- Serve as a Master Data Subject Matter Expert (SME), providing authoritative guidance to both Business and IT stakeholders on configurable material topics.
- Own and deliver strategic and tactical work packages, ensuring alignment with broader transformation objectives and delivery timelines.
- Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with supporting and dependent teams, acting as a reliable interface and coordination point across ARTs and functions.
What you bring
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience in the software industry, with exposure to Business Process Management, Master Data Management, or Business Operations
- Knowledge of SAP Variant Configuration (VC / AVC) is considered a strong advantage.
- Basic understanding of end-to-end Quote-to-Cash processes, including delivery models and cloud-based business models.
- Familiarity with SAP's License and Services portfolio.
- Solid understanding of Master Data Management (MDM) concepts and data governance principles for IT products.
- Proven track record of successful project delivery in cross-functional environments.
- Strong grasp of current-state ("as-is") data models and enterprise architecture, complemented by hands-on technical skills such as data modelling or development.
- High level of analytical curiosity and problem-solving mindset — with enthusiasm for designing new scenarios, investigating requirements, prototyping solutions, and operationalizing outcomes.
- Proficiency in internal IT and business systems such as CRM, CPQ, and Jira
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken

We are responsible for delivering trusted data to the business by defining data purpose, setting data standards in collaboration with Business Process Owners, and ensuring seamless data flows across the SAP process and system landscape—forming the foundation of our operations.
Our diverse team includes Product Managers focused on strategic initiatives and key projects, working closely with IT Product Owners to perform root cause analyses and implement data quality rules. In parallel, Data Operations colleagues address day-to-day issues via a centralized shared service framework.
The team's strength lies in its alignment and collaboration—each role contributes to a shared strategy, ensuring the resolution of business-critical issues and the consistent delivery of high-quality results.
