As a Supply Chain Manager Intern, you will be championing various projects within Amazon's Supply Chain team. The Supply Chain team is responsible for capacity planning, inventory optimization, network design, and operational efficiency across Japan's fulfillment network to ensure customers receive the right products at the right time.Such projects include but are not limited to:1. Inventory Planning and Optimization:- Analyze demand forecasting models and propose inventory level optimization - Leverage seasonality and trend data for capacity planning - Develop initiatives and simulations to improve In-Stock Rate - Visualize inventory turnover rates and identify bottlenecks2. Network Design and Logistics Optimization: - Analyze delivery route optimization across Fulfillment Centers (FCs) - Build cost and lead-time comparison models across transportation modes (truck, air, rail) - Conduct data analysis for last-mile delivery efficiency improvement - Simulate optimal relay point placement3. Operational Efficiency and Automation: - Identify bottlenecks through data analysis of existing operational processes - Automate KPI monitoring through BI dashboard development - Propose and support implementation of automation for repetitive tasks - Conduct ROI analysis for supply chain cost reduction initiatives4.
