PMTs leverage their technical depth to partner closely with engineers in defining a vision and building a roadmap to launch technical products that play a key role in making Amazon Earth’s most customer centric company. With a customer base that can span across retail shoppers, developers, and business leaders. PMTs are set on a path to become leaders of business segments or technical organizations. Key job responsibilities- Developing and executing scalable business plans and product requirements – being a business owner - Driving cross-functional projects to completion - Developing strategies based on data analysis - Communicating effectively with senior management - Maintaining customer focus - Balancing strategic thinking with tactical, detailed execution - Working cross functionally with teams throughout the companyA day in the lifeThe primary role of a PMT within Amazon is to assume end-to-end product ownership over one of our technical product offerings. PMTs are expected to dive deep into the technology both from a product and customer perspective, working with software engineers and business partners to define, build, launch and grow new technology-driven products and services. With input from business stakeholders, they develop business and product requirements, prioritize needs, and manage milestones and overall roadmap. Examples of organizations where PMTs may work include (but aren’t limited to): Amazon Web Services (AWS), Prime Video, Alexa, Game Services, and Supply Chain Technologies. About the team- Most roles for this position will be located at Amazon’s company headquarters in Seattle, WA or Arlington, VA. Successful applicants will be expected to relocate to their team location upon starting at Amazon. - Role and team placement are based on business needs and as Amazon continues to grow and flex, we are looking for candidates who want to own, build and impact the customer experience rather than are tied to a specific role or team. - Internship start dates will be between May-June 2027 for a 12-week, consecutive internship. - Currently accepting external applicants only.
