You’ll do important work, learn new skills, expand your network, and gain real-world experience on projects that impact millions of end-users worldwide. JOB DETAILS:
- Locations: San Jose, CA
- Onsite/Hybrid: This role requires the student to work full time (40 hours a week), in either a hybrid or onsite work structure throughout the duration of the co-op/intern term
Duration:
- Summer Internship:
- Semester Students: May 24, 2027 - August 13, 2027
- Quarter Students: June 21, 2027 - September 10, 2027
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
We are seeking highly motivated Field Application Engineer Intern to join our team at AMD. In this role –
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve real-world problems using FPGA-based and x86 solutions.
- Gain in-depth knowledge of FPGA hardware, x86 servers, software tools, and design methodologies.
- Develop and present technical demos, proofs-of-concept, and training materials.
- Work with cool technology like machine learning, signal processing, high speed serial I/O
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- Currently enrolled in a US based University in a Master’s degree program majoring in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related discipline
- If you have knowledge / experience with any of the following technical skills (or related areas) and are enthusiastic about this role, we strongly encourage you to apply –
- Highly motivated engineers with experience in digital design.
- Engineers interested in technical sales who help customers get their designs done faster.
- Exposure to Digital Design (VHDL / Verilog)
- Exposure to CPU computer architecture
- Familiarity with basic programming, data structures and algorithms
- Exposure to OOP languages (C++ / System Verilog / etc.)
- Exposure to Scripting languages (Perl / Python)
