The Java Developer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and high-performance applications using Java technologies. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative software solutions, ensuring adherence to coding standards, architectural guidelines, and business requirements. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and implement Java-based applications, services, and APIs according to business and technical requirements. Develop and maintain scalable microservices and enterprise applications using frameworks such as Spring Boot, Spring MVC, or related technologies. Analyze functional and technical requirements and translate them into efficient software solutions. Collaborate with architects, business analysts, product owners, and QA teams throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Write clean, maintainable, reusable, and well-documented code following industry best practices and coding standards. Develop and execute unit, integration, and performance tests to ensure application quality and reliability. Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues, performance bottlenecks, and production incidents. Design and optimize database structures, queries, and integrations with relational and non-relational databases. Integrate applications with external systems through RESTful APIs, messaging solutions, and middleware platforms. Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve code quality and team knowledge. Support CI/CD pipelines, automated deployment processes, and DevOps practices. Ensure applications meet security, compliance, and performance requirements. Contribute to system architecture discussions and technical design decisions. Monitor application performance and implement enhancements for scalability and reliability. Stay current with emerging technologies, Java ecosystem updates, and industry best practices. Strong proficiency in Java (Java 8+/11+/17+). Experience with Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and REST API development. Knowledge of SQL and database technologies (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, etc.). Experience with version control systems such as Git. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies. Understanding of object-oriented design principles, design patterns, and SOLID principles. Experience with testing frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito. Knowledge of CI/CD tools and DevOps practices. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Skills Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, IBM Cloud, or GCP). Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized environments. Experience with Kafka, IBM MQ, or other messaging platforms. Familiarity with microservices architecture and event-driven systems. Exposure to frontend technologies such as Angular or React. • Advanced Java Frameworks: Exposure to additional Java frameworks and libraries, enhancing overall development efficiency and application performance. • Cloud Computing Knowledge: Familiarity with cloud-based platforms and technologies, allowing for seamless integration with existing infrastructure. • Agile Development Methodologies: Experience with agile development practices, promoting iterative and collaborative approaches to software development.
