This internship is designed to provide meaningful, hands-on experience that prepares students for a potential full-time career with IBM Consulting upon graduation. As an Intern Supply Chain Specialist at IBM, you'll gain hands-on experience applying supply chain and business concepts while developing exposure to SAP, one of the world's leading enterprise technology platforms. You'll work alongside experienced IBM professionals while learning how organizations manage procurement, materials, inventory, customer orders, fulfillment, logistics, and distribution through SAP-enabled business solutions. Many interns join IBM with a foundation in supply chain, business, operations, or analytics and begin developing SAP expertise through mentorship, structured learning, IBM SkillsBuild, hands-on projects, AI-enabled tools, and real client experiences. No two projects are exactly alike, you may contribute to projects supporting clients across industries including manufacturing, consumer products, retail, healthcare, energy, automotive, industrial, public sector, and more. Throughout your internship, you'll gain exposure to end-to-end supply chain processes while learning how SAP and other enterprise technologies help organizations improve operational performance. During your internship, you may have opportunities to: Support business and technology teams in understanding supply chain requirements, processes, challenges, and opportunities for improvement. Assist with SAP solutions supporting procurement, materials management, inventory, sales, order management, fulfillment, logistics, distribution, and other supply chain processes. Help analyze business requirements and learn how they are translated into SAP-enabled process and technology solutions. Assist experienced team members with SAP configuration, testing, data validation, documentation, issue resolution, and solution implementation activities. Analyze supply chain and operational data to identify trends, support decision-making, and help develop recommendations. Contribute to process improvement and transformation initiatives designed to improve efficiency, visibility, service, and business performance. Collaborate with SAP consultants, supply chain professionals, technology specialists, and client teams while developing communication, teamwork, analytical, and consulting skills. Gain exposure to how Artificial Intelligence, automation, analytics, cloud technologies, and enterprise platforms are transforming supply chain operations. We're not looking for SAP experts, we're looking for students with potential, curiosity, problem-solving ability, and a passion for learning. Your internship is an opportunity to build your understanding of supply chain while beginning to develop specialized expertise in SAP and enterprise technology. High-performing interns may be considered for full-time Associate opportunities following graduation, based on business needs and individual performance.
