As a trusted partner with wide-ranging service capabilities, IBM helps clients transform and succeed in challenging circumstances. The diversity and breadth of the entire IBM portfolio of research, consulting, solutions, services, systems and software, uniquely distinguishes IBM India from other companies in the industry. Business Unit Introduction IBM Research - India (https://research.ibm.com/labs/india) invites applications for its Internship Program in Quantum Computing and associated topics in Computer Science, Mathematical Sciences, and AI at its locations in Gurgaon and Bangalore. Summer Internship Program is one of the major activities under the University Relation Program. IBM Research India offers Summer Internship to the bright students of leading technical Universities in India. IBM Research India provides industry experience and world class technologies to these students to show their talent. During internship students work on current projects happening in the lab, they solve problems with the help of their mentors. Idea is to give industry experience to the students and look for future employees. The Quantum Algorithm Engineering team collaborates with partners to produce state-of-art demonstrations on IBM Quantum hardware. The following are our expectations: Theoretical foundations in quantum computing. Algorithms like QAOA and sampling-based diagonalization algorithms that have scalable demonstrations on quantum computers of today. Strong coding skill in Qiskit Ability to read research papers on quantum algorithms and applications and implement their methodology Research students, especially senior PhDs, will be provided preference to this role. Anyone with strong prior experience in large-scale algorithm demonstrations on quantum computers are encouraged to apply.
