As an Application Consultant specializing in Cloud, you will advise clients on application development methodologies and tools with a focus on hybrid cloud and container-based cloud applications. You will work closely with senior-level resources on assigned development and deployment activities, leveraging your expertise in cloud-native development principles, containers, and serverless computing. Your primary responsibilities will include: • Design and Implement Cloud Architectures: Lead the implementation of cloud architectures during project delivery and solutioning phases, ensuring uptime, access control, network security, and automation using configuration management tools. • Develop and Deploy Cloud Applications: Assist in designing, building, and maintaining containerized hybrid cloud environments, applying software architecture fundamentals, tools, and methodologies for cloud-native development. • Provide Consultation Services: Act as a consultant to clients, guiding them in selecting the most suitable cloud solutions and mapping existing components and functionalities to cloud-native services across different providers. • Deliver Legacy Modernization Solutions: Design modernization architecture solutions from legacy platforms, applying expertise in continuous modernization strategies, co-existence architecture, refactoring, containerization, API development, microservices creation, language conversion, and database conversion. • Collaborate on Project Execution: Work with senior-level resources on assigned development and deployment activities, ensuring successful project execution and solution delivery. • Cloud Development Methodologies: Exposure to application development methodologies and tools with a focus on hybrid cloud and container-based cloud applications, including designing, building, and maintaining containerized hybrid cloud environments. • Cloud-Native Development: Experience working with cloud-native development principles, containers, and serverless computing, with expertise in at least one technology such as Node.js, Spring Boot, or Spring Cloud. • API and Microservices Architecture: Exposure to API and microservices-based architecture implementation, with understanding of cloud-native services across multiple cloud providers. • Legacy Modernization: Experience working with legacy modernization solution delivery, including designing modernization architecture solutions from legacy platforms such as mainframe, iSeries, Solaris, and VAX/VMS. • Cloud Service Mapping: Exposure to mapping existing components and functionalities to cloud-native services across different providers, understanding the advantages and trade-offs of various cloud services. • Proficiency in Multiple Cloud Providers: Exposure to cloud platform components and services across multiple cloud providers, with an understanding of their advantages and trade-offs. • Strong Understanding of Application Components: Experience working with application components such as Systems of Engagement (SOE), Systems of Insight (SOI), Systems of Integration (SOI), and Systems of Record (SOR). • Continuous Modernization Strategies: Exposure to continuous modernization strategies, co-existence architecture, refactoring, containerization, API development, microservices creation, language conversion, and database conversion.
