We are looking for an outstanding Compiler Engineer to help build the next generation of intelligent compiler technologies for NVIDIA's accelerated computing stack. Our team works at the intersection of compilers, agentic systems, numerical correctness, and verification to create systems that can reason about, generate, optimize, and validate code transformations across software and hardware boundaries. This is an excellent opportunity for new graduates who are excited about coding agents, AI-assisted software engineering, developer tools, and GPU computing. In this role, you will work with experienced engineers and researchers to build agentic systems and compiler-aware tooling that improve developer productivity, code quality, and system performance across NVIDIA's software and hardware stack.

What you'll be doing:

• Build and improve coding-agent systems for tasks such as code generation, transformation, debugging, optimization, validation, and developer assistance.
• Develop agent workflows involving tool use, planning, memory, execution, and feedback loops for software engineering and compiler-related tasks.
• Help create training, evaluation, and verification environments to improve agent quality, correctness, robustness, and usefulness in real-world developer workflows.
• Work on systems that reason about source code, intermediate representations, low-level performance behavior, and optimization opportunities across GPU-centric workloads.
• Collaborate with compiler, CUDA, runtime, library, and hardware teams to develop and productize new agentic and compiler-aware capabilities.
• Analyze failures, investigate correctness issues, and improve system reliability, scalability, and performance in production-oriented settings.

What we need to see:

• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Academic, research, or internship experience in one or more of the following areas: coding agents, AI systems, machine learning systems, developer tools, compilers, programming systems, or high-performance computing.
• Strong Python and C/C++ programming skills, with solid software engineering fundamentals; experience with Rust is a plus.
• Strong interest in coding agents, agent systems, compiler automation, AI-assisted software engineering, or program analysis.
• Exposure to one or more of the following is highly desirable: compilers, LLVM/MLIR, program analysis, code generation, CUDA, GPU programming, parallel computing, or performance optimization.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively across software layers and multidisciplinary teams.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

• Internship, research, or project experience building coding assistants, software engineering agents, autonomous developer tools, or AI-assisted programming workflows.
• Experience with compiler infrastructure such as LLVM, MLIR, Triton, PTX, or related IR/codegen frameworks.
• Experience with evaluation, testing, verification, or feedback systems for AI or agentic workflows.
• Hands-on experience with CUDA, GPU systems, or performance tuning for parallel workloads.
• Publications, open-source contributions, or strong academic projects in coding agents, AI systems, compilers, programming systems, or high-performance computing.

Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is 108,000 USD - 178,250 USD for Level 1, and 124,000 USD - 195,500 USD for Level 2.Applications for this job will be accepted at least until September 25, 2026.
