Measurement Sciences Intern (R&D) 2027

Overview

Overview We are currently on the lookout for a Laboratory intern to join our R&D team based in Little Island, Cork. In this role, the successful applicant will join PepsiCo’s Measurement Sciences team which provides analytical testing support for PepsiCo’s Beverage manufacturers globally as part of the company’s QA and innovation agendas. The team operates under an ISO17025:2017 accredited quality management system and utilises various analytical test methods for the analysis of analytes in finished product beverages (CO2 analysis, Brix analysis, TA, Torque, TDS, UPLC) and water (Wet Chemistry, IC-MS/MS, ICP-MS, GC-MS), to ensure that all PepsiCo beverage products meet the highest possible regulatory and quality standards. Responsibilities Complete assigned project work Support the Lab by maintaining GLP, preparing samples and finding samples for repeat analysis, as required Prepare lab solutions, reagents, and controls as necessary for completing analysis and running instrumentation Perform accurate analysis of analytical samples in compliance with PepsiCo global procedures and standards Develop reference files, quality control charts, and graphs on laboratory data Review and interprets test results Support test method investigations where required Use laboratory business information and reporting systems (LIMS) Adhere to ISO 17025:2017 and A2LA policies for the laboratory Adhere to site Health & Safety and Good Laboratory Practice policies and procedures Qualifications A can-do, positive attitude with a willingness to take on new challenges Passion for investigating and solving new analytical problems Active listening skills and is flexible regarding priority changes Good organization, time management, and teamwork skills Ability to analyse and interpret data Excellent written and oral communication skills - ability to communicate confidently and effectively in a timely manner Knowledge of analytical techniques (e.g. Titration, Chromatography, etc.) Knowledge of quality assurance activities and quality management systems
