Role Overview

As a Qualcomm Embedded Engineering Intern, you’ll have the opportunity to push the boundaries of what exists and help establish the new standards for tomorrow. You will innovate as an equal contributor on teams of world-class engineers to develop, implement, and maintain software for the most complex wireless devices in the industry today. You will leverage your computer science or engineering degree to make an immediate impact on the software development life cycle of one of Qualcomm’s numerous software technologies.

This internship supports the Embedded Engineering track. Based on your resume you will be aligned to projects within this track. 

Minimum Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field.

• Must be available for 11–14 weeks during Summer 2027 (May–September).

• Expected graduation date of November 2027 or later.

• 1+ years of academic experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Python, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

• Candidates actively pursuing a degree with an anticipated graduation between November 2027 and June 2028

• Embedded programming in C/C++/Assembly & operating system knowledge

• Programming in resource-constrained environments (MIPS/Memory)

• Implementation of complex algorithms on an embedded processor

• Embedded microcontroller programming, experience developing device drivers

• Real-time embedded programming in C/C++/Assembly for general purpose and heterogeneous processors including GPUs and DSPs

• Communication systems, communication theory, digital signal processing (DSP, embedded firmware)

• Knowledge of wireless protocols such as 5G NR, LTE, and 802.11

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits:

$17.00 - $98.00

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm.  We also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants (employees on sales-incentive plans are not eligible for our annual bonus).  In addition, our highly competitive benefits package is designed to support your success at work, at home, and at play.
