What You’ll Build
The SAP Internship Experience Program is SAP’s global, strategic, paid internship program that provides university students with opportunities to find purpose in their careers. This is more than an internship, it’s the foundation for a career built on connection, creativity, and impact.
Position Title: SAP iXp Intern - Personalization, Digital Platforms & AI
Location: Newtown Square, PA
Anticipated Start Date: October 2026
Contract Duration: 12 months
Work Hours: Full-time – 40 hours per week
As a Digital Platforms Personalization intern at SAP, you’ll play a hands-on role in advancing the company’s personalization strategy and digital transformation. You will coordinate and maintain the Personalization roadmaps. You will collaborate with Digital Platforms associates to align timelines and dependencies. You will also support the roll-out of key Adobe technologies. These include Experience Cloud, Experience Platform, Customer Journey Optimizer, and AJO B2B. You will work on strategic initiatives. These initiatives involve machine learning, omnichannel transformation, and cloud migration for EDS/AEM. You will also research new tools. In addition, you will explore how AI agents can create customized experiences.
Key Product Responsibilities
- Coordinate and maintain Personalization roadmaps. Provide frequent updates. Collaborate with Digital Platforms associates. Align project timelines and identify project dependencies.
- Digital Transformation: Support SAP in rolling out important Marketing technologies. These include Adobe Cloud, Adobe Enterprise Platform, Customer Journey Optimizer, and Adobe Journey Optimizer B2B.
- Aid in tool discovery and vendor coordination, helping research emerging technologies and maintain productive partnerships to enhance platform capabilities.
- Support strategic personalization initiatives. This includes machine learning and omnichannel transformation. It also involves go-to-market strategies and EDS/AEM cloud migration. Use North Star road-mapping to guide these efforts.
- Explore the future of personalization, researching how AI agents can tailor content and experiences to individual preferences while identifying key challenges to overcome.
- Troubleshoot and monitor website performance, resolving issues related to layout, functionality, and integrations while maintaining site updates.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for integrations, program implementations, and Adobe Target workflows.
- Help to educate and build partnerships by training internal staff and alignment with departments to optimize the tech stack that fuels personalization.
- AI Operations Support: Assist in deploying and monitoring SAP Joule and Adobe AI Assistant across the digital ecosystem to drive innovation and help upskill members of the Digital Platforms team.

Education: In pursuit of a degree in Marketing Tech, Data Science, Computer Science, or Digital Transformation.
Eligibility: Must be currently enrolled, or recently graduated (start date must be within 6 months of graduation date) from a coding academy/bootcamp, apprenticeship, associate, bachelor’s, master’s or JD/PhD program.
Core Skills & Qualifications
- AI Fluency: A solid desire to learn the mechanics of Large Language Models (LLMs), Vector Databases, and Agentic Orchestration.
- Platform Literacy: Knowledge with the Adobe Experience Cloud (AEP, AEM, Target, or Analytics) or similar enterprise-grade CMS/MAP.
- Technical Tools: Proficiency in Jira/Confluence for workflow management and Figma for reviewing AI-prototype UX designs.
- Communication: Ability to translate business concepts into clear technical requirements working with diverse stakeholder groups.

- Cognitive Empathy: Understanding how AI agents interact with humans and the ability to map those "conversational" journeys.
- Prompt Engineering: The ability to structure queries for GenAI tools to produce high-quality, brand-compliant business outputs.
- Data Literacy: Moving beyond "reporting" to "analysis"—understanding metrics like AI Confidence Scores, Conversion Lift, and Pipeline Velocity.
