ALA is our selective MBA leadership development program designed to cultivate the next generation of transformative product leaders. The program provides a multi-year pathway for ambitious MBA graduates to work on high-impact initiatives, receive mentorship from senior executives, and accelerate their journey toward becoming future senior leaders at Amazon. ALA participants work directly with senior executives to identify customer needs and scale innovative solutions into transformative businesses. This multi-year pathway combines deep product management fundamentals with technical aptitude - the same combination that built game-changing products like AWS, Alexa, Prime, and Kindle.
This isn't a typical MBA role – it's an opportunity to shape the future of how millions of customers live, work, and play. As a Product Manager in the ALA program, you'll work shoulder-to-shoulder with senior leaders who've built billion-dollar businesses, tackling challenges that stretch beyond your comfort zone while receiving the mentorship to help you succeed.
You'll lead working backwards sessions, write and refine PR/FAQs, dive deep into metrics, and make data-driven decisions about future priorities. Regular touchpoints with your leadership team will help shape your strategic thinking, while collaboration with architects and engineers will strengthen your technical judgment. You'll be part of a cohort of high-caliber MBA graduates who learn, build, and grow together.

Customer & Business Impact
• Identify and analyze customer pain points and unmet needs
• Define clear success metrics and KPIs for your product area
• Conduct market analysis and customer research
• Build compelling business cases showing value creation
Product Development
• Own significant product initiatives end-to-end, from ideation through launch and iteration • Create working backwards documentation (PR/FAQ)
• Design, validate, and ship solutions that delight customers
• Define business requirements, technical specifications, and implementation roadmaps
• Make data-driven decisions about feature prioritization and product direction
Strategic Thinking & Innovation
• Develop product strategy and long-term vision based on market analysis
• Explore innovative solutions to complex customer problems
• Create competitive positioning recommendations
• Drive go-to-market planning and execution
Technical & Stakeholder Collaboration
• Work across functions to drive project execution and deliver results
• Present recommendations to senior leadership
• Build deep understanding of technical architecture and constraints
As a full-time ALA participant, you will own high-impact product initiatives that deliver clear customer benefits and business outcomes. Through strategic rotations across Amazon's businesses, you'll develop the breadth and depth needed to become a senior product leader, with increasing scope and complexity over time.
Please Note:
1. This role is based in Seattle, WA with no other location options at this time. Relocation to the Seattle area will be required to participate in the Amazon Leadership Accelerator.
2. Amazon requires employees to be in office 5 days a week.
