As an Associate Strategy Consultant at IBM, you'll be working closely with clients and their customers to understand their pain points, bringing together IBM's unique capabilities across strategy, innovation, design, data analytics, cognitive computing, and technology platforms to develop and deliver high-impact transformation programs. Leveraging a growth mindset, you're ready and willing to deliver business value, wherever needed. In your role, you may be responsible for: Researching the client organization and industry value chains. Drawing from primary and existing IBM research on evolving market trends. Identifying issues, creating hypotheses, and executing analysis, to develop decision-ready recommendations for our clients. Contribute to client-ready material for projects and sales efforts, including PowerPoint presentations, Word Documents, and other mediums. This opportunity is based in Toronto and supports Associate Consultant hiring cohorts commencing in May 2027 and September 2027. We are recruiting for both start dates and encourage eligible candidates to apply. Successful applicants must have graduated from a recognized post-secondary institution prior to their employment start date. Please note that MBA and PhD graduates are not eligible for this program. Demonstrate quantitative analysis skills and ability to derive recommendations informed by data and insights. Ability to communicate complex situations clearly and simply by listening actively and conveying difficult messages in a positive manner. Ability to apply logic to solve ambiguous problems and deliver creative and well-structured solutions. A passion for innovative ideas, coupled with the ability to understand and assimilate different points of view. Strong interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate and work effectively with individuals, strengthening relationships to achieve win-win solutions. Strong problem-solving capabilities, including the desire to take ambiguous problems and deliver creative and well-structured solutions; as well as applying deep analytical skills to ensure recommendations are informed by data and insights. Passion to understand the applications of emerging technologies and adapt modern approaches and innovative solutions to client problems. Highly resilient with the ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently, meet deadlines, and share/incorporate feedback. Previous internship/experience with a recognized consulting firm. Previous corporate internship/experience outside of consulting. Involvement in university consulting clubs and/or case competitions.
