In this role, you will conduct innovative research at the intersection of AI, systems, and storage, tackling fundamental challenges in performance, scalability, and efficiency. You will contribute across the entire industrial research cycle, from developing novel ideas and system designs to building prototypes, evaluating performance at scale, demonstrating real-world impact, and publishing your findings in leading scientific venues. Candidates should have a strong interest in systems research and experience with performance measurement, benchmarking, and analysis. Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (MS/PhD), with a focus on systems or at the intersection of systems and AI; Experience with system performance measurement and analysis; Programming languages: Python, Go, Bash, Rust Using, administering, and programming for Linux environment; Tools and platforms: Kubernetes, Docker, Git; Basic understanding of the storage stack in Linux Understanding of LLM technology, distributed inference, llm-d/vLLM and KVCache in particular; Designing and implementing distributed systems and storage systems; GPU programming; High-performance storage systems; C++ programming language
