As a Cloud & AI Solution Area Specialist, you will be a solution sales professional within our Automotive and Manufacturing Enterprise sales organization, working with one of our most important customers. You will collaborate with technical, partner, and consulting resources to advance the sales process, guide customers through their AI journey, and align Cloud and AI strategies with business priorities and success metrics. Responsibilities
Assess and qualify sales opportunities using Microsoft sales frameworks, AI-enhanced sales methodologies, and work practices. Participate in strategy development for moderately complex, significant-value opportunities, earn customer buy-in, secure deals, and mitigate risks across the solution area.
Drive customer engagement strategies tailored to customer priorities, including secure AI-powered transformation. Develop relationships with key customer and partner stakeholders, translate feedback into recovery action plans, and support customer satisfaction goals within the customer success plan.
Collaborate across Account Team Unit, Customer Success Unit, Industry Solutions Delivery, Global Partner Solutions, partner, and consulting teams to contribute to deal orchestration, handoffs, partner attach, co-selling strategies, and customer value realization throughout the sales lifecycle.
Analyze business and emerging opportunities across the customer portfolio, using propensity, renewal, consumption, usage, AI-powered analytics, automation, and forecasting insights to prioritize sales strategy, maintain pipeline hygiene, and support accurate forecasting against assigned metrics.
Evaluate solution areas and market trends to align sales plays with customer business priorities and outcomes. Partner cross-organizationally to propose Cloud and AI transformation solutions, differentiate Microsoft offerings, address gaps, and drive market engagement and sales execution.
Lead discussions with customer stakeholders and decision makers to identify, qualify, prioritize, and accelerate sales opportunities. Align the customer's AI transformation vision with business priorities, reinforce security principles in opportunities and pursuits, and act as a trusted advisor for technology adoption.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Information Security, or related field AND several years of technology-related sales or account management experience;
OR several years of technology-related sales or account management experience.
Experience engaging customers and partners in solution sales conversations, opportunity qualification, sales strategy, pipeline management, and cross-functional deal orchestration.
Experience aligning Cloud, AI, security, data, platform, or infrastructure solutions to customer business priorities and measurable outcomes.
Business fluency in both German and English.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Information Security, or related field AND several years of technology-related sales or account management experience;
OR Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Information Security, or related field AND several years of technology-related sales or account management experience;
OR equivalent experience.
Several years of solution or services sales experience.
Experience with Cloud and AI solution plays, customer transformation programs, partner co-selling, consumption growth, renewals, or customer success planning.
Relevant technical, sales, or cloud certifications, or demonstrated continuous learning in cloud and AI technologies.
In line with our Flexible Work approach, for roles at Microsoft Germany, we recommend spending at least two days per week in the office or at the customer site.
Solution Area Specialists IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across Germany is € 67,700.00 - € 97,800.00 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
