As a Solution Area Specialist Intern, you will help drive Microsoft cloud solution adoption by identifying customer needs, supporting sales opportunities, and positioning Microsoft solutions to address business challenges. You will work closely with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders to support digital transformation initiatives while building your business, sales, and technology expertise.

About the Programme
The Microsoft South Africa BBBEE Internship Programme offers talented graduates the opportunity to gain hands-on experience, develop professional and technical skills, and receive mentorship while working on meaningful projects. As part of Microsoft's commitment to skills development, transformation, and inclusive economic growth, interns are empowered to learn, grow, and make an impact while building the foundation for their future careers.
Responsibilities:
- Support the positioning of Microsoft solutions by researching customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscapes.
- Learn how Microsoft’s cloud platform and AI solutions enable digital transformation across industries.
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify customer opportunities and contribute to solution development.
- Develop and maintain sales pipeline insights and support forecasting activities.
- Engage with customers and partners to deepen relationships and understand business challenges.
- Work with senior team members to build technical, sales, and industry knowledge.
- Support customer presentations, events, and engagement activities that drive business impact.
Qualifications
Programme Eligibility:
- Applicants must be South African citizens and meet the eligibility requirements of the Microsoft South Africa BBBEE Internship Programme.
- Currently pursuing (final year with no more than 6 months remaining) or have completed a Bachelor's degree in the last 6 months in Business, Operations, Finance, Information Technology, or related field.
- Fluency in English.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
- Passion for technology and customer engagement.
