About this role
Overview The Finance Intern is a developing member of the Control & Reporting team within PepsiCo Global Concentrate Solutions (PGCS). Working closely with the Controls & Reporting team members, the role supports the integrity of the balance sheet, the operation of the internal control environment, and the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting. The position is structured as a broad, hands-on development role: the graduate takes ownership of a defined set of tasks from day one, while rotating exposure across close, reporting and compliance activities which builds the technical and business foundation for a longer-term finance career. Responsibilities Business Partner to the one of PepsiCo's Franchise Operating Units: Supporting the teams through the month end/year end close processes Managing P&L & Balance Sheet reporting and queries that arise. Managing the Advertising & Marketing reporting for the Franchise Business Liaising with the HFM reporting team to ensure accurate US GAAP reporting for the AMESA/APAC Sector Managing the regulatory & compliance requirements Key contact for the external audit of the Advertising & Marketing spend, and ensuring all audit queries are resolved in a timely manner GCS Control Owner for the Advertising & Marketing Controls Manage the SAP system set ups PO hierarchies to ensure the 3-way match process is ran efficiently in the Operating Unit Ensure completion of all Balance Sheet Reconciliations on Blackline on a timely manner Other Advertising & Marketing process requirements Manage and maintain the WBS budgets and communicate the WBS codes to the Sector contacts. Maintain the Advertising & Marketing reports generated from Business Objectives, ensuring accurate reporting is being issued to the Sector. Balance Sheet Reconciliations and Cashflow forecasting Prepare and complete assigned monthly balance sheet reconciliations to agreed deadlines and Quality Standards. Proactively manage cashflow reporting responsibilities for the business. Continous Improvement Identify opportunities to simplify, standardise and automate routine tasks, and support process improvements initiatives Take on ad-hoc analysis and projects as the teams priorities evolve. Qualifications A degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or a related discipline. Working towards, or intending to commence, a professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA / CIMA / ACA) is an advantage. Prior internship or placement experience in a finance, control or shared-services environment is welcome but not essential. Genuine interest in financial control, reporting and building a career within a large multinational finance function.
